Today’s women want to look natural and put together, and they want the process to be effortless. Extensions are an undetectable way to enhance and embellish your existing style.

If you prefer your hair shorter in a bob, using extensions is a great way to add thickness to the baseline. If your hair is long, it’s the best way to add extra volume and texture to make your hair appear longer and healthier.

The benefits of adding extensions go beyond lengthening your hair. Damaged and fried hair will look completely revitalized, and, when applied by a true professional, they can mask the “less than healthy” hair from underneath giving the appearance of hair that is in amazing condition!

Extensions actually allow your real hair to get a break from all the daily abuses that we put it through, such as heat, the environment, etc…

Long healthy hair does wonders making you feel younger and sexy again. If you’re feeling as if your appearance could use a lift, adding extensions to your hair can make all the difference in making you feel good about yourself again.

If you’ve worn your hair short for a long time and need a change, or worse yet, you’ve gotten a short style that you truly don’t like, extensions are the perfect solution while allowing your short style to grow out.

If you have an upcoming event, like a wedding or a special occasion, and you want your look to say “celebrity,” you don’t need to wait months to achieve that glamorous appearance.

Extensions are the answer to growing out that awful, short haircut that you got on a whim.

Perhaps you’ve always struggled with fine, thin hair. Or, maybe as you’ve noticed that your hair is thinning. 2022 is the year of using hair extensions for VOLUME. We are going to see a lot of them being used this year for the most natural and voluminous looks.

Hair extensions hold curls amazingly well! They will stay in a fixed curl without falling flat, or getting frizzy once you step out the door. They look polished and smooth no matter the weather.

Here’s a biggie. HAIR EXTENSIONS MAKE YOU LOOK YOUNGER! When you and your professional stylist select the right length for your face shape and body type, it will take years off your appearance.

Some of us are not blessed with the gift of what good hair really is. If you’ve struggled with fine and thin hair most of your life, then hair extensions will truly change your life.

Are you the type who loves to try new hairstyles? Are you adventurous with length and color? Extensions allow you to alter your look whenever you like without cutting your natural hair.

Mistakes to Avoid

Poor Quality Hair. Your hair deserves the best possible quality hair match.

Bad color matching. Pre-made extensions that are made in strands are generally one color, or two colors mixed in a stripey strand. This color match is never going to be good enough to blend because your natural hair is multi-tonal.

Strands that are too large for a small section of hair can lead to a noticeable imbalance. The strand of hair must be placed securely on the correct amount of the client’s natural hair, while matching the weight of the client’s natural hair.

When salons don’t give aftercare and maintenance instructions to a client, they will not get the most out of them. Directions on styling and drying thoroughly at the roots will prevent hair from being damaged and will prevent matting which helps the extensions last longer.

Hair Extensions?

Anyone who is experiencing active hair loss is not a good candidate for hair extensions. Wearing the extensions will mask what is happening to the natural hair and can delay any action that needs to be taken to address the hair loss.

Anyone with unusually fine hair, or hair that is considered “sparse,” should avoid using hair extensions. Even though this is less than 1% of the population, it is an important factor to keep in mind. The rule of thumb is to match the amount of hair added, with the density of the client’s natural hair. Finer-haired clients should have less hair added than those with thicker or more dense hair.

Brushing

Brushing is a key factor in getting through the grow-out period. It is recommended to use Easilhair Pro’s Wet/Dry Detangling Brush which is designed with Intelli-Flex technology. This makes the bristles sturdy enough to remove tangles from your hair, yet gentle enough to flex at the extension attachments. You will want to gently remove tangles from your hair by brushing multiple times a day, starting at the ends of your hair with soft strokes and working up to the root of the hair. When the brush passes over the panels, you may hear a sound that mimics crunching but don’t be alarmed. This is the sound you DO want to hear.

Using Easilhair Pros Premium Boar Bristle Brush is a great way to distribute your hair’s natural oils and keep your extensions shiny and healthy. But, always remember, keeping oils away from the panels is key as we know that oil and tape in hair extension panels do not mix.

Dry Shampoo

Hair extensions are most vulnerable when wet. If you can extend your time between shampooing during the grow-out, you will be less likely to experience extensions slipping, pulling or causing damage. Dry shampoo is a great way to keep your hair looking and feeling fresh between shampoos. This dry shampoo is designed to keep oils off the panels and prevent slipping.

Cleansing

Before shampooing, press your panels together to secure the bond and brush thoroughly to make sure your hair is free of tangles.

The proper way to shampoo hair extensions is by placing shampoo into the palm of your hands and opening your fingers to make sure you are getting between the panels and onto your scalp. You may shampoo twice to ensure that all the product is removed and make sure to rinse thoroughly to eliminate any residue.

After shampooing, condition from the ponytail, down. Make sure NOT to get any conditioner on the panels, as this can cause slipping.

Grab Easilhair Pro’s Wet/Dry Detangling Brush and start at the ends of your hair, working upwards, while also keeping hold of your panels to eliminate any stress. Repeat to ensure that all tangles are removed.

After washing, power dry your panels by taking your blow dryer and directly dry the base of your scalp to ensure that moisture is removed from the attachment first. Once the root area is thoroughly dried, continue to dry the rest of your hair as you would normally.

Protect your extensions by waiting until they are mostly dry, before you begin to use any heat styling tools. Always avoid using those tools directly on the tape and keratin bands. Never go to bed with wet hair! Always make sure your hair is 100% dry before your head hits the pillow.

Get into simple routines like tying the hair into a low ponytail at night

Being off by even one shade is a dead giveaway that you are wearing faux hair. The most accurate way to color match is with the ends of your locks, NOT the roots. Go with the color that is the most prominent in your natural hair.

Synthetic extensions are the most affordable but they tangle easily and have a super high shine level which makes them look very unnatural. And, non-virgin hair means it’s been processed, either dyed or treated to change its color, so it is not ideal since it is already damaged. Remy extensions are the highest quality and the closest to real hair. They will hold styles and texture the same way and won’t shed as much as the cheaper options.

When people say extensions damage your hair, that’s because they weren’t professionally removed. You must properly maintain the extensions within the time frames. You simply cannot have extensions that were meant to be worn for 6 weeks, and wear them for 3 months. Another way to avoid damage is to make sure they are not too heavy. You must be careful about the weight of the extensions because if it weighs down the hair too much, eventually your hair is going to shed. Nothing will prevent that and at some point, it will become too much stress on your own hair, and it will break.

Extensions should never fall out or cause any type of pain. You should never be able to feel them, but if you do, return to your salon and make sure they are placed in properly.

If you bypass the cheap alternatives and opt to go with the outstanding quality of real hair extensions, you will be investing in your amazing new look for years to come. No one will know you have gotten extensions unless you choose to share it with them! If you choose the top-quality, real hair extensions, you will attain the best possible look.
