In 2006, I graduated cosmetology school from Regency Beauty Institute in Naperville Illinois. I always knew I wanted to be a hairstylist since I was little. One of the many reasons I chose to become a hairstylist is to use hair as a creative outlet and being able to create something for my guests to enjoy.

What part of hairdressing do you love most?

I love the endless possibilities this career has to offer. I love how styles, and colors are continually changing and progressing so it never gets dull! Continuing education to always stay on top of the latest trends. I love coloring… highlights, lowlights, baby lights, and teasy lights. I also love creating new, fresh haircuts for both women and men.

What about the industry that fuels you?

What fuels my passion is getting to meet new guests every day and growing relationships with returning guests. It makes my day when a hair session is complete and I get to see the enjoyment in my guests reaction.

What is a fun fact about you?

The first place I drove when receiving my drivers license at age 16 was a local salon and spa; I then spent the next three years working there assisting stylists and watching and learning from my peers. In 2009 I took a leap of faith to move to Florida to be by the sunny beaches and have since lived in Bradenton.

What do you love to do in your spare time?

In my spare time you can find me spending time with my husband, two children, Myles and Melody, and our dog Axle. I like exploring and enjoy being by the water.

What are your top achievements as a hairstylist?

With 20 years in the hair industry, I have had many personal and professional achievements I am grateful for. The opportunity to work at Cutting Loose with its amazing reputation and top of the line classes and education is like no other!
