Kerri Johnson
Artisan, Oribe Ambassador
I started in the hair industry with Paul Mitchell, right after receiving my BS in Marketing from USF in 1992. I fell in love with the company and the people I worked with. I loved what they stood for, how they gave back to their community and those around the world less fortunate; How they supported the hairdresser and their art unconditionally, their passion for love and fashion and beauty. They worked tirelessly at mastering their craft while teaching and performing. They were a group of charismatic individuals whose personalities and energy were infectious…I couldn’t help but want to be even more a part of it. I then graduated from the Aveda Institute and Masters Program and committed to Coral and the Cutting Loose team because of our history together with Paul Mitchell. We have a lot of the same values when it comes to hard work dedication and family life balance. It was a perfect fit.
Stylist Q&A
What part of hairdressing do you love most?
What I love most about hairdressing is making people feel good about themselves. As for the craft, I am infatuated with blondes, I love hair-painting, balayage, and toning to the perfect hue! I also love short hair. Bobs and pixies are my favorite because they can be timeless and classic or edgy and trendy…whatever the desired look they are always in style. Being a day maker, making people happy! Also, who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by beauty and fashion daily?
What is a fun fact about you?
I have twin girls who are “The millennium twins”. Yep… January 1, 2000, is their birthday!
What do you love to do in your spare time?
Spend as much time with my family and three dogs as possible! I love the outdoors and have to be close to water! Especially our beautiful beach sunsets! I also love to cook.
