Recently, I had the opportunity to share my experience on the Suncoast View alongside Dr. Hamwi, the talented surgeon who performed my lower facelift in November. It was important for me to speak openly about this journey, not just for myself, but for anyone who has ever considered a cosmetic procedure but felt hesitant due to stigma or judgment.

In the beauty and wellness industry, we encourage self-care in so many ways through healthy eating, exercise, skincare, and mental well-being. Yet, for some reason, cosmetic procedures are often viewed differently. Why should they be? If we have the ability to enhance our confidence in a way that feels right for us, with a trusted professional, then it should be something we can discuss freely without shame or embarrassment.
My experience with Dr. Hamwi and his team was incredible. From consultation to recovery, I felt safe, supported, and heard. His assistant, Denisha, guided me through my in-office visits. Their professionalism and kindness made all the difference in my journey.
By sharing my story, I hope to help others feel empowered to make choices that align with their personal vision of self-care. Whether it a skincare routine, a fitness plan, or a cosmetic procedure, the goal is the same: to feel like the best version of yourself. If you are considering something similar, my advice is simple, do your research, find a provider you trust, and make the decision that feels right for you.
At our salon, we celebrate beauty in all forms, and that includes the confidence that comes from taking care of yourself inside and out. Let’s continue to support and uplift one another in our self-care journeys, whatever they may look like.
