“It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”
-Mother Theresa
Here at Cutting Loose Salon, we believe in giving our hearts to the community to create a stronger and healthier Sarasota. Our Owner, Coral Pleas, is committed to giving to locally charities, both personally and professionally. A charity that the whole Cutting Loose team is passionate to support is Sarasota’s Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC). The SPARCC is dedicated to stopping domestic and sexual violence and provides shelter, counseling, and support services for adults and children.
Coral has been a supporter of SPARCC for 20 years, and Cutting Loose Salons have been supporting this local charity for nearly 10 years. This summer, Cutting Loose Salons encouraged guests to donate unused beauty products to the Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center by offering a discount on take home beauty for those who participated. All the products donated go directly to the local shelter for women to use, as most had to leave behind everything to get out of abusive situations. Between both locations, Cutting Loose Salons donated over 500 toiletries to women in need at SPARCC. Inspired by the support of the community, we matched our guests’ product donation with a cash donation.
Coral currently sits on the board for the SPARCC and many stylists have participated in SPARCC’s Annual Fashion Show at the Ritz-Carlton. Cutting Loose Salon Master Stylist Niki Pleas has participated as a model, and Niki, along with five other stylists, all donated their time to style hair for the show. Coral will serve as a chairperson for the 2018 Fashion Show. The center has a major impact on those in need, and our team is committed to helping them.
Small business philanthropy is on the rise. It is said of small businesses who give – the most donate money, while some will give goods or services, and others donate their personal time. At Cutting Loose Salon, we fall into all three categories, giving every way we can.
