Senior Stylist – Level 2, Ouidad Specialist
I graduated from Meridian Institute in 2008. I previously worked at a few salons around town, both as an assistant while in school, and as a stylist after, but did not feel as though I was where I was supposed to be. I learned of Cutting Loose after hearing how well a friend was doing there, the reputation of the salon, the education provided, the culture, and the people.
The thing I love most about hairdressing changes all the time. I love cutting because I get to utilize the geometry I learned in high school! And I love the chemistry used in any sort of coloring and highlighting of the hair. It’s math, art, and science all in one, making beautiful hair!
The thing about the hair industry that fuels me is the interaction with my guests. I love getting to know my guests and what’s going on in their lives. I love being able to make them happy and feel good about the way they look.
I can not only do your hair, but I can make you a drink or nurse you back to health! I was a nurse for many years and a bartender.
I enjoy going to concerts, festivals, and the beach. And I love just hanging out watching tv with my fur babies.
Completing the five-day cutting class at the Vidal Sassoon School in Santa Monica CA.
Completing the nearly two-year training program at Cutting Loose, and diving into a whole new career at this age!
