Let’s say you decide (finally) to get your long hair cut into a short style. You know you absolutely love the look but, for a while, you are surprised when you glance in the mirror. You may feel like that for a short time at Cutting Loose Salon.
That’s because the salon looks and operates differently now. By responding responsibly and precisely to safeguards and protocols that keep everyone safe, it has been crucially transformed. “It’s like opening a brand new salon,” said Cutting Loose owner Coral Pleas. “Like all change, it’s going to feel different for a while.”
More Space & Time
For one, there is a lot more physical space, in between stations and everywhere else, in order to create distance and comfort for clients and stylists alike. And there are far fewer people in the salon at any time. This is due the need to provide ample time to sanitize and disinfect in between clients, that stylists are working on only one guest at a time, and walk-ins or accompanying guests are not allowed.
Thus, the template of a bustling hair salon full of people sitting together and chatting, reading magazines, and drinking coffee is on hold indefinitely. In its stead is a salon environment that’s centered on giving clients premium service while keeping everyone safe.
Guests are really appreciating the focused attention, timely services and the way we’ve streamlined everything from the safety protocols the moment they enter to the ‘cashless’ payment system as they leave, Coral explained. “We’ve all had to slow down and enjoy the process.”
